"I wouldn't be surprised if today was known as Harry Potter Day in future!" said McGonagall in the first chapter of the first book. THIS is why we need a Harry Potter day!!! No other story has so completely penetrated daily life the world over. As McGonagall also said, "Every child in our world will know his name!"

Harry Potter is immortal, and should be honoured as such! Now if only we knew what day of the year Harry's parents were killed, that would just be perfect :]
